What it does that your alarm doesn't

  • Reads the air every 15 seconds
  • Shows CO from 0
  • Sounds at 30 PPM
  • Plugs into any outlet
Norvyn CO Monitor plugged into a nursery wall, reading zero, beside a mother holding her baby

Norvyn shows you first

It doesn't wait for the grown-up line. You see the number from zero, and it sounds at 30 PPM.

The part nobody tells you

Your alarm is designed to stay quiet until the air bothers an adult.

Home CO alarms are certified to UL 2034, a standard set by what carbon monoxide does to an average, healthy adult. The makers' own manuals say infants, unborn babies and pregnant mothers can be affected more quickly and more severely. That's why seeing the number matters.

Meet Norvyn CO Monitor

The monitor that starts at zero.

Plug it in where they sleep, glance at the number, and know what the room's air is doing before any adult alarm calls it an emergency.

  • See CO from 0 PPM, not a green light

The number moves long before a standard alarm would make a sound.

  • Reads the air every 15 seconds

The screen updates while you watch, day and night.

  • Sounds at 30 PPM

The level a standard alarm is designed to sit through for a month.

  • Plugs in beside the crib or bed

Any outlet, no tools. Use a high outlet little hands can't reach.

  • No random alarms

It reads carbon monoxide and gas, not smoke or steam. The number follows your routine, not your nerves.

  • 100-night risk-free trial

Why babies first

Same room, same air. She breathes in more of it.

Babies breathe faster and take in more air for their size, so the same air reaches them first. Before birth, a baby's blood holds carbon monoxide more tightly and lets it go more slowly than the mother's does.

Easy to blame on something else

Spit-up, unfinished bottles, sleepy mornings, a headache every day. Teeth, daycare bugs and pregnancy get the blame, and a quiet alarm seems to agree.

Real parents. Real numbers.

Your Purchase Is Protected By Our

100-Night “Sleep-Easy” Guarantee

At Norvyn, we make sure our customers feel safer, or we refund 100% of their purchase. We're so confident you'll sleep better knowing what's in the air where your baby sleeps that we'll bear all the risk.

Got Questions? We got you covered!

How is this different from the alarm I already have?

Your hallway alarm is certified to UL 2034, a standard built around an average, healthy adult. It is designed to stay quiet through a steady 30 PPM for 30 days, and at 70 PPM it can take 1 to 4 hours to sound. It only ever says nothing or emergency. Norvyn shows the actual number from 0, reads the air every 15 seconds and sounds at 30 PPM, so you see a problem while it is still small.

Why are babies and pregnant women affected sooner?

Babies breathe faster and take in more air for their size. Before birth, a baby's blood holds carbon monoxide more tightly and lets it go more slowly than the mother's. Alarm makers say it themselves: their manuals list infants, unborn babies and pregnant mothers among the people who can be affected more quickly and more severely.

Where do I put it in the nursery?

Plug it into an outlet in the room where your baby sleeps, ideally a higher outlet or one behind furniture so little hands can't reach it. Outlet height is fine because carbon monoxide mixes with the air. Pick a spot where you can see the screen from the door. If you're pregnant, put one on your side of the bed.

Do I still need my hallway alarm?

Yes. Keep the certified CO alarm your local code requires. Norvyn works alongside it, in the rooms where the people most at risk sleep.

How many do I need?

One in each room where someone sleeps, plus one near your furnace, water heater, fireplace or the door to an attached garage. Most families with one baby start with the 4-pack: the nursery, your bedroom, next to the main gas appliance and one more floor.

Will it false-alarm when I cook?

No. The sensor reads carbon monoxide and gas, not smoke or steam, so searing a steak or a steamy bath won't set it off. And because you see the number rise and fall, you understand what's happening instead of being startled by a random blare.

How do I know the sensor still works?

A test button only checks the horn. With Norvyn, the live number is your proof the sensor is working, every day.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Plug it in tonight and live with it for 100 nights. If you're not completely happy for any reason, send it back and we refund every cent. After the trial, every Norvyn CO Monitor is covered by a lifetime warranty.

Can someone vouch for this? Saw the ad three times today and my wife is 20 weeks, so I'm not taking chances with our gas furnace. Is it legit?

@Marcus works great. We have one outside our son's room and one in our bedroom. Reads 0 every night. Get the 4-pack, you'll want one near the furnace too.

Seconding Dan. Had mine 2 months. Quiet, no false alarms, and seeing the number is the reason I bought it over the beeper ones. Congrats on the baby

Our nursery is right above the garage and we warm the car in winter. My regular alarm has NEVER gone off. Would this even show anything?

Yes. Ours read 7 to 11 on winter mornings while the car ran with the garage door half open. We stopped warming it inside. Back to 0 since.

I'm 14 weeks and kept waking up with headaches. The one on my nightstand showed 5 to 8 some mornings. The gas company found a bad water heater vent. Headaches are gone.

Who it's for

If a baby sleeps in your house, this is for you.

  • New parents

A number to check before you lay them down.

  • Pregnant

One on your nightstand, from the first trimester on.

  • Rooms over a garage

A car warming below the nursery shows up on the screen.

  • Gas heat and fireplaces

Furnace, water heater or fireplace? That's a CO source.

  • Grandparents' house

The room where the baby naps there, too.
